We strongly advise that you measure your head size before purchasing to ensure the helmet fits perfectly around your head.
Whether it’s a coffee ride, a couple’s spin, or a weekend exploration,Aero GT is your go-to helmet.
Being just an around the neighborhood bike rider I had put off getting a helmet, maybe having to do with almost never seeing people wearing helmets when I was a kid. Now I seem to be more concerned about self-protection. I was not familiar with what Mips is all about, but after reading about it, and being a mechanical engineer, I was sold on it. I assume you can buy bike helmets for less, but I would not use a helmet without the MIps design feature. This helmet comes in a wide assortment of colors and color designs. It feels lightweight and so is a joy to wear knowing my head is protected as reasonably as it can be. The style is modern, and the included lights make it all the more safety featured. It appears to be made well and is moderately priced.
Love helmet. Fits perfect and looks sleek.
It looks Great! The fit is good for me. I love the magnetic chin strap lock, especially when i'm getting ready for a cold ride and I already have my gloves on, but I can still secure my chin strap with no problem. The price is right too. Also MIPS.
This helmet is perfect and I love that the light comes off. My old helmet made me charge the whole thing, which was super clumsy and annoying. Being able to just pop the light off and plug it in separately is way more convenient. The helmet is really lightweight, says it's only about 350 grams, so it doesn't feel heavy on my head even on longer rides. It has a bunch of air vents. I commute to work a few times a week and this is way more comfortable than my previous helmet. What I really like is the slot on top where I can store my sunglasses when I go inside somewhere. Lots of helmets SORTA have this space, this helmet has it built specifcally. Now they just clip right into the helmet. The MIPS system is supposed to help protect your head better if you crash, thankfully I've never needed to test that. The magnetic light clips on and off super easily, perfect to bring it in the house to charge. This is a solid everyday helmet that's comfortable and actually has features I use.
I really like this bike helmet. It looks cool and is very comfortable. When I first put it on it was a little tight, but has an adjustment dial at the back that works smooth and simple. I have a big head and this size Large now fits great—with plenty of room for a skull cap, balaclava, or both. The chin strap is also easy to adjust. The magnetic peg-type fastening clip was new to me, but works good. (I'm used to the cheaper male-female type buckels). It still requires two hands (i.e. it's not quick release), but does work smoother than a conventional buckel. This helmet is lightweight and has very effective vents. It's currently winter so it's hard to not notice the airflow. (Not great for the cold, but will appreciate the cooling effect when warmer weather comes.) You can tell the quality is above average, and your head feels well protected while wearing it. I wish it had a visor for the sun but that is my only complaint. The red light at the back is quite bright and highly visible. It has multiple flashing modes, or you can leave it solid. It is easy enough to turn on you can do so while riding (no need to take your helmet off if you forget, or it starts getting dark mid-ride). It's magnetic and can be easily removed for changing. Charging is simple with USB-C. The charging port has a rubber cover to protect it while in use. The battery life seems good and you should be able to get several reasonably long rides between charges. It was going for 100 dollars at the time of this review. This seems a little high, but probably worth it for the quality. Sure you can buy a cheaper helmet and attach a light, but do think this a better, more elegant option. It's a nice mid-range helmet. Inexpensive compared to racing helmets but much nicer than a cheap, big box store helmet. Great for commuting or casual riding on shared roads.
